Westwood Music Department

Welcome to Westwood Middle School  Music Program.  With its rich tradition and strong community support, WMS is entering a new era for the school and the music department alike.  We look forward to working with each and every one of you.

Band and choir are activities that build knowledge and character.  Ideals including discipline,respect,and pride are undeniable parts of experience.  It is,therefore,the goal of the programs to turn any and all students first into people of quality and worth,and then musicians as they become capable.  Every student will obtain an understanding of music theory,history,literature,and technique .  Every student will recognize the importance of teamwork and self-effort.  Every student will graduate the program understanding the value and effect of music in the lives of every American.
