Hello, Westwood families!  

     My name is Justin Winton, and I am excited to spend another year at WMS.  I grew up in Manchester and started my teaching career at College Street Elementary.  The 2023-2024 school year will be my 14^th year as a teacher and my 12^th at WMS.  I’ve been the middle school tennis coach for the last nine years, though I am passing it off to someone else this year.  I live in Murfreesboro with my beautiful wife and two kids.  In my spare time I enjoy playing tennis and doing theatre.     

     This year in World History we will cover from Prehistoric groups of hunter/gatherers to the Fall of the Roman Empire.  Our curriculum will be broken down into the following units: 

Unit 1: Prehistory

Unit 2: Mesopotamia

Unit 3: Israel

Unit 4: Egypt

Unit 5: India

Unit 6: China

Unit 7: Greece

Unit 8: Rome
