Update from the School Nutrition Department

Posted Date: 09/04/26 (10:07 AM)

Dear MCS Families,

We are excited to share some great news from our cafeterias! For the month of August, our schools served a combined 24,978 lunches and 17,379 breakfasts.

This is a wonderful start to the school year, and we want to thank our students, families, cafeteria staff, teachers, and school leaders for helping make it happen. Our school nutrition teams work hard to provide students with healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals each day, and we are proud to see more of our students taking advantage of the meals available to them.

As we get going in September, we want to encourage families to continue allowing students to eat breakfast and lunch in our school cafeterias. As a reminder, we can provide one breakfast and one lunch at no cost to every student through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Also, our online lunch/breakfast payment portal, EFunds, is available for parents/guardians to put money in their child's lunch account so that students can purchase additional school meals and a la carte items. If you need to put money in your child's lunch account, visit https://payments.efundsforschools.com/v3/districts/56808 or simply scan the QR code below.

Please see the attached PDF for instructions on creating an account and making payments in EFunds. We hope everyone enjoys their 3-day weekend.
